Diary 2009

Belfagan practise at 8pm every Monday night through the autumn, winter and early spring. We now use Eaglesfield Village Hall as our regular venue - if you'd like to come and try some dancing or playing, please email ally for directions.

We are always keen to recruit new members. No previous experience is necessary. Why not just come for a couple of weeks and see if you like it?

New musicians are always welcomed too. Musicians don't have to turn up every week if they don't want to, but it's important to have people we can call on when we need them. Any portable instrument will work for morris: the days when everyone played melodeon or fiddle are long gone.

Click here to email Ally for more information. As well as designing the website I have also played in the band since 1997, and have recently decided to have a go at dancing as well. If I ever get any good at it I shall be torn between playing and dancing - even more reason for a new musician or two to contact us!

Please note that all times given are Morris Time and shouldn't be taken too seriously.

Each year from about the beginning of May we dance out every Monday night at various pubs in the area. We practise on Monday nights from mid- September until the following spring.

We love being contacted by people who'd like to join us - dancers or musicians - experienced or complete novices. (We'll soon knock you into shape!) Just email ally for more info.

We also perform at various events and functions throughout the summer - these, too, will be announced here as soon as they are confirmed. If you'd like us to dance at your event, please get in touch.
